We all know the secret sauce of Max Mix is… well, the founder himself, of course. It's his personality, energy, and yes, the vision behind creating products and a company that truly resonate with people. Max Mix spreads the message about meaningful, purposeful work for people of all abilities.
But it’s also the team that supports him. This is a family project, supported by so many people who have stepped up to open doors and share the dream. You know who you are, and we are so grateful.
That alone is extremely gratifying and an amazing message to share.
However, there’s more... so much more.
We hear often how much people LOVE the product—and that, too, is what makes Max Mix special. It’s the product!
A key reason the three Max Mix blends are so amazing is because of what they don’t have in them. Max Mix is free of MSG, fillers, sugar, and is gluten-free. You can read and understand everything on the label. We believe what you put in your body is important!
Quality, non-processed food isn't cheap these days. Why would you want to spoil it by dumping a low-quality spice blend full of fillers and overly processed ingredients on it?
Max Mix takes a different approach because that’s how it all started. Back in the kitchen, where Max Mix was hand-mixed and hand-bottled as gifts, there were no fillers or MSG. Pam, Max’s mom, has always prioritized fresh, high-quality, less-processed food—and that’s how she and Max created the blends. That hasn’t changed.
Go ahead—take a look at the ingredients in other spice blends and compare them to Max Mix. Some don’t even list their specific spices. They just say “spices.” Others are packed full of ingredients we can’t even pronounce, and some are loaded with sugar.
Now, let’s take a look at what’s in Max Mix. It all starts with quality sourcing.
Max Mix sources as much as possible from the United States. Many lower-priced spice blends source most of their ingredients from China and India, but not Max Mix. Even our garlic, which for most brands comes in bulk from China, is grown in California. Even our bottles are made in the U.S. When we do source outside the U.S., it’s done responsibly. Our peppers come from Mexico, and we know the owner of the farm. Everything we do is about quality.
Most competitors just use black pepper. Sometimes their black pepper is nothing more than ground-up pepper husks. Did you know they can add things like sawdust to cheapen the weight and increase volume? It’s the cheapest, lowest-quality option. We use three different kinds of peppercorns: black, green, and the most expensive, pink.
Let’s talk about fillers. Fillers don’t add flavor; they just increase profit and ultimately reduce value for the customer. This is known as “economic adulteration.” We’ve had people ask about anti-caking agents—don’t we need those? Surprisingly, we’ve found that when we use quality spices and don’t over-process them, we don’t have a problem with caking. Just keep them cool and dry, use them up, and order more!
Finally, Max Mix is Kosher because it’s blended and bottled by our boutique co-packer in their certified Kosher facility.
As with everything, you get what you pay for, and we think you deserve the best quality.
So just remember—Max Mix is just herbs and spices, and it makes your food delicious. That’s it.
