Giving back is an important value for Max Mix. When you buy Max Mix you, in fact, are investing in Max and his future and making an important statement about the value of his ability to contribute. We want to honor that investment and will announce giveback programs throughout the year.
It is fitting that our first giveback program recipient will be Inclusion Connections based in Olathe, Kansas. Max began participating at IC when he was young with socially inclusive opportunities and continued by working in the production of dog treats with their Pawsabilities program.
Rod also served on their board as Vice President and continues as a member of the Advisory Board. This amazing organization has been at the forefront of providing inclusive opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, access to meaningful employment and creating options for independent living through their groundbreaking Belong KC.
For the months of December and January, Max Mix is announcing a donation of $1 per bottle sold to benefit Inclusion Connections. In addition, we are excited to announce that a very generous cousin of Max’s has agreed to match this donation - meaning that $2 per bottle will be donated to Inclusion Connections. Ray Head, owner of Advanced Technologies based in Council Bluffs, Iowa, made this commitment to support not only Max Mix but also the Down syndrome community. He and Max share a special relationship and we are so appreciative of his support.
We will present a check at Inclusion Connections annual Fashionability Gala where Max will be strutting his stuff again on the catwalk as a model partnered with community leader and IC Advisory Board Member Greg Highberger, Principal/Owner of h l d Architecture.
